Listen to the irony.

Well, it’s not after such a long time that blogger came across her another observed irony or rather say, this time she herself became a part of it.

So here I welcome you all to listen to the irony of a language.

Travelling in a new city, new lifestyle, confronting new people is very interesting especially when one doesn’t have any medium to converse with people around him/her; one conveys his/her thoughts via few hands gestures and body movements or speaking some broken words of English language like where, how far, thank you, sorry, excuse me etcetera.

Recently, blogger stepped into a new place where another language is being spoken, of which she didn't know anything. It was more unfortunate on her behalf that even the sign boards of the city were written in the local language which was completly unknown to her.

Well as her stay at the city was for a bit longer period of time so with the help of her friend, at least she learnt to say in the local language “sir/madam, I don’t know how to speak the local language, kindly cooperate”.

So whenever she faces problem while conversing, ironically, folks of the city get a chance to listen in their local language from her side that she doesn’t know their local language.

So listen to the irony and cherish it for a while!!

  1. Indeed a true element of what Irony is all about :-) The first thing we learn to say is "Sorry Sir/Ma'am, I can't speak your language."

Haha.. Great Observation... Infact, I don't think I need to comment on your posts as they always ARE A MARVEL and a pleasure to read. Some are confusing and few turn out to be 'Bouncers' but "Hell yeah!" they all are indeed a Marvel.

    Love,
    KV :)
