End of a Beginning.

Sleep dissolves dream,
Imagination writes wishes.

Riding on the fairy wheels
Whimsy world I believed in.

Imprinting on the canvas,
I sketched with my heart’s ink.

Spreading the wings,
Smiling with zing.

END

Time tore the thinking,
End threatened before any beginning.

Each new page of the diary was alike,
Living aspirations slowly died.

Sleep enclave- the dreamy dwelling,
Imagination- an unwritten craving.

One night, sleep I dreamed,
One night, wishes I imagined.

Night will end soon, I heard.
Sunny morning will make me happy, I smiled.

BEGINNING

  1. Okay... Now this one, is short, precise, but with loads of energy... Densely packed with emotions, like a sonnet...

But hey... Why not a title with a positive outlook?

Now, the title you penned (typed on ur cell) is pretty intriguing...

End of beginning... but how about "Beginning of the end"....???

Beginning of the end of the night.. what say? :-)

Another poetic experiment of you is successful.. congrats...

  2. ahan.. so finally one of my reader is caught in my title trap...
well, I deliberately wrote this. A small twist is there is in it. The poem describes an "End" and then a "Beginning". Right?
so the turning point is, I want the "End"(described in poem) as my end(in the sense of dictionary meaning) of the "Beginning"(the one described in poem). Hope now u got it...

well the title u gave also convey the same meaning, but I twisted a bit:D

  3. So I guess, now u would agree that the positivity of the poem is hidden in its title :)and the poem is not pessimistic :)
