Watch the Flipping side of the Media: On Manglore Air Crash, 2010

Indian Airline Boeing, IX-812, blew away up in flames on 22-May-2010 while landing at the Manglore Airport, India, which was inaugurated for handling the International flights just eight days back before the crash took place.

Side I of the Media coverage:

Breaking News flashed by the media: “Manglore now gifted with its International Airport. Great present by Mr. Praful Patel, Minister of aviation Industry”
Praful Patel said, “It’s great that the airport can now be used for International flights. Though its runaway is 1000 ft short, so I will request the ministry to extend the runway soon”

(Readers, kindly pay notice to the fact that this statement of Mr. Praful Patel was recorded and shown on TV.)

Side 2 of the Media Coverage:

Breaking news flashed by the media: “Indian Airline Boeing crashed. Runway falls short. Manglore Airport was not according to the standard of being declared as International Airport.”

Media, our so called truthfully responsible medium of information flips side so innocently, that we become their victims of their innocence so idiotically!!

WE VIEWERS, WATCH THEIR BREAKING NEWS, ACT ACCORDING TO THE TONE OF THE MEDIA.

How?? Have a look then!!

To begin with, news come stating- “a new international airport inaugurated at Manglore”. We feel happy and think that wow!! Government is doing something for the people. Development can be seen. We even watch the great speech of Mr. Praful Patel where he gets successful in impressing us. Now as being a common man, obviously we don’t know the standard, or say eligibility that must be fulfilled by an airport before being declared as an International airport. So apparently when we heard Mr. Praful patel saying that he will request the additional 1000 ft for the runway at Manglore airport, we felt that he was concerned with the safety of the people. Such a great man!!

(Don’t forget this time media didn’t tell anything about the standard of an international airport)

Now eight days later,

Another news headline hit our TV screens, stating “148 passengers died”. Now we feel sorry for them. And this time, our source of information, our sweet media added one more news stating- “runway falls short by 1000 ft. Mr. Praful Patel showed haste in declaring the airport fit for landing and taking off for the international flights. Airport fails the criteria of being an international airport.”

Wow. Now we hate this man. We curse him along with government. We think that how irresponsible our country’s administration is.
Same tone is followed by the media his time. And so media’s harsh words for Mr. Praful Patel, make us feel at a bit ease. And we think; wow!! Yes!! Now media will trap this man and he won’t be able to escape.

(Don’t forget this time media provided us with full information starting with standard to how this plane got crashed, the irresponsible attitude of Mr Praful Patel)

Ever wondered, we always tend to react the way media want. We watch their news, help them to gain all the TRP’s and earn money, and in the end, like an idiot, waste our time on reacting to an incomplete-complete breaking news.

Wake up Media!!!

Do I need to tell you guys that its duty of the media only that each and every single bit of news you present before us should be complete, authenticated and analysed before making it as a news headline?
I wonder how come you guys came up with the information on the standard of an international airport just after the minutes of crash???
How?
How could you neglect the statement of Mr. Praful Patel on the day airport was inaugurated??

STOP befooling us. Kindly recapitulate your responsibilities.

Wake up People!!!

Just do NOT act according to media. Apply some part of your brains too. If media is unable to analyse a situation properly then make them realize, and if can’t do that, then atleast STOP viewing that TV screen and STOP acting like puppets to their incomplete news.
