**Applause**

Producer of the movie decided to setup the set for his movie inside a college campus.

Lights, camera, action, all is set. But wait a second?

Where is the star cast of the movie?

As usual, actress is waiting for her favourite make- up artist; she can’t compromise on anyone just like that, as after all she is a celebrity. And actor is running late as his BMW has gone for servicing, and obviously how could you expect him to agree to come in a Honda city. He can’t agree to compromise on his status symbol (BMW) as after all he is a celebrity.

Moreover, scorching sun had already soaked the energy of the crowd that was gathered around to even catch five seconds duration of the glimpse of these celebrities.

Finally, after a long wait of two hours, celebrities made their way inside the college campus in their black tinted cars. Crowd shouted, screamed, hooted, and went mad after seeing them.

Well, here’s the moment when I want to ask a question from the crowd.

These celebrities earn, they enjoy, they travel in their BMW’s, they have all the rights to come late and let people stand, waiting for them in the boiling heat of summers, they throw attitude when there is a question of compromise on their behalf.

What do these celebrities do for you? You might say that they at least provide you with the entertainment. Isn’t it? Then let me tell you that the entertainment is just not the fruit given to you by these celebrities whom you see on your big screens. Hell lot of people are involved behind the scenes. And these people are the real people who make these celebrities as- actual celebrities. Also, don’t forget, you paying for your entertainment.

I’m not against a person who is a celebrity. Being a celebrity is not a bad thing. I’m happy for those who are successful and are celebrities. I’m upset over the fact that when these celebrities have name, fame, money, why don’t they utilize it for the benefit of the society? Even 5% would do. Instead, they bring complex to the people by showing off their lavish lifestyle and celebrity touch. They give people a reason to be like them by making them fall for their high class status and style. But who wants to be like a person who wants to earn but only for himself/herself, not caring for the society of which even he/she is a part?

At least I don’t want to be like that.

Inside the college shooting is going on without any interruption. Celebrities are ready to shoot for a song. Speakers are playing loud and celebrities don’t even bother that how they are interrupting in between the studies that are going on inside the classrooms. Here I won’t blame the celebrities solely; I would blame the college management as well. Why they allow having a movie shoot inside the college premises between the college hours. I guess it’s again the money and fame that speaks. After all college would be in news as their cool campus was recorded for the movie.

I won’t say each and every celebrity is irresponsible and doesn’t do anything for the benefit of the society. Many of them have done pretty good works, but many of them don’t fall into this category either…

So here goes my question:

Guys and gals, you all cheer and show your appreciation for these celebrities. But do all of them deserve it? You applause for them, but for whom this applause is really meant for?
